When I first
started selling on eBay I decided to read every
book about the subject that I could laymy hands
on. Unfortunately, that experience turned
out to be a waste of time because the
bookstaught the 'traditional' way of selling on
eBay by using it as an online garage sale.
That's fine forthose who are getting started and
want to learn the ropes, but it's not
sustainable.
My analytical nature led me to study everything
I could about how eBay works, and after many
months of painstaking research I finally
'cracked the eBay code'. That may sound
overly dramatic, but I assure you that I'm not
exaggerating. Quite simply, I devised a
systemized
approach to exploiting unconventional eBay
techniques that fewer than 1% of sellers know
about, let alone use.
I'm actually one of a very small handful of
education specialists, trained by eBay.
Honestly, I don't agree with everything that
eBay teaches, but being certified means that I
am perfectly placed to inform my students of the
very latest developments and features of eBay,
sometimes months before they become
'mainstream.' It's a very powerful
advantage that you can benefit from too.

I'm a fairly
private person but I'm happy to let you in on a
few personal details. I was born and
raised in the South of England, I married my
lovely wife Luci in 2000, and we fulfilled an
ambition in 2003 by moving half way around the
world to California. In the Summer of 2006
we moved to Salt Lake City, where we overlook
the mountains near Park City. It's a
beautiful part of the country that seems to be
largely undiscovered. I encourage you to
visit, you will love it.
I owe a debt of
thanks to my marketing friends Yanik Silver, Dan
Kennedy, Bill Glazer, and Zig Ziglar and others,
for showing me what marketing is really
about. The insights and lessons that I
discovered as a student of these guys has been
invaluable, and they have been a major influence
on my eBay system. Conventional marketing
is dead, it's a pointless waste of time and
money, but sadly most people are stuck in the
dark ages and are still doing it the hard way.
It's a constant frustration to me to see so many
eBay sellers fail. Even many PowerSellers
give up because they are fed up. Simply
having the label 'PowerSeller' doesn't mean
anything significant, it simply means that the
person received payments of more than $1000 per
month through eBay transactions. How much of
that is profit is anyone's guess.
I invite you
to check out my eBay resources on this site, and
you can see the very latest news on my blog.
Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to
meeting you in person at one of my live
presentations or trainings. |
